NOVAS 2018

Three of my paintings were just accepted into the NOVAS 2018 Art Exhibit at the Cultural Arts Center, Douglasville, GA.    Still getting settled into my new home and haven't got my studio area identified yet.     I've got the itch to get back to more regular painting...trying to sort though 30 years of stuff to clean out room has been a challenge.

Update on Half-Off Sale

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Half-Off Sale.    Nine paintings have found a new home.    I consider paintings like "books".     A "book" is only good if someone is reading it.   They are not any good packed away on a shelf or in a box.   The same is true of "paintings".   They are only good if they are hanging on a wall and being enjoyed!!   

Next things are:
- Douglas County Art Guild Show at Cultural Arts Center, Douglasville, GA  - through June 2018
- Douglas County Courthouse Art Show - photography and paintings in a one person show -         September 2018

I've also entered the paintings below in the NOVAS Show.   We will find out in July, 2018 which ones have been accepted.

Artist Talk - Friday, May 25, 2018 10:00 a.m. at Dog River Library

Artist Talk - The exhibit at Dog River Library, Douglasville GA is only up until May 30, 2018.    I'll be at the library this Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.     Come by and see the exhibit.    I'd love to talk to you about the paintings and how I approach my art.    Here are a few of the paintings that are still for sale.

The Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, GA is one of my favorite places to visit.   I've taken many photographs there and painted this church several times.    The monks built it one wheel barrel of concrete at a time.    A calm and serene place to pray and meditate.
