The Monastery of the Holy Spirit is a beautiful  place.   This is the welcome center at the property.   I visited last year with friends.   I've been going through my old photos and came upon this one.

Last summer I had the pleasure of vising Smith-GIlbert Gardens in Kennesaw, GA.    There are many beautiful spots in the garden but I loved this shaded path through the garden.

There are beautiful gardens located just above Atlanta at Gibbs Gardens.   I went there last fall with friends and especially loved the ponds.

Sunflower Morning

"Sunflower Morning" is a continuation of my painting of a sunflower series.    I think I will do several more and choose the best of the group to do a three 5x7 grouping in one frame.    Maybe a larger sunflower field would be a nice addition.   I simply must make it to the sunflower festival this year and get some good photos.

Sunflower - I love sunflowers.   When I first started painting I painted a group of sunflowers and framed it.   I loved it!!    I gave it to a dear friend who was retiring several months later.    I've tried several times to duplicate that painting and failed.   My daughter loves sunflowers and has asked me to paint them.   I decided that I would do something different.    This is the second of a group of three 5x7 paintings that I am doing to group and frame in one frame together.    Tomorrow I work on the final painting.

Fall Trees - Acrylic

This painting was done in Art with a Twist at Red Cockerill Gallery.    Dark under painting and leaves and texture done with paper towels.     Certainly gets you in the mood for cool fall days and brightly colored leaves.
